33 Best Stops Between El Paso and Waco (2024)

This water park offers plenty of attractions for guests of all ages, including seven pools and twelve water slides. It's also home to Racoon Lagoon, an outdoor water park that is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

We rented the grizzlies sweet and it was pretty cool there was two bedrooms three beds one pull out bed. I wish the fridge would’ve been bigger given our party size but there was two bathrooms which was nice. The master suite and the regular room in the grizzly room TVs and so did the living room. The second floor has a Starbucks and other cool places to eat. The water park was really cool the lazy river is really nice and the wave pool was pretty cool too but it could use more waves the one in Chicago definitely has better waves. I like the kids area because my six year old was still able to enjoy a lot of the kitty pool activities. There are multiple slides which the older kids can go in which is nice and there are two bars and one food station. The bathrooms were incredibly cold but that’s maybe because we were in the warm water. The water on the first day was cold but by the second day it was warm. Over all our state was enjoyable.

We really enjoyed our small family vacation at this location. For reference, it was my 11 month daughter, husband and me. We didn’t really do any extra add on activities. Our room was very nice and clean.Breakfast was delicious! Definitely recommend getting the add on breakfast package. My husband had chicken and waffles each morning and I really enjoyed their French toast. Also, make sure you make your reservation for breakfast the night before. It will make your life easier. The water park was nice. It stays relatively busy, which I feel is to be expected. My daughter loved seeing and playing with the other kids. Also, my husband loved the pizza place on-site.

We took our 11 & 13 grandsons for the night. Advice is don't get the bunk bed option if over 10 as they will be too short! The staff was great and text you to let them know if I needed help. They were great about helping with reservations for dinner. Room was clean as was the hotel areas. Waterpark lined were long but it is summer. To be honest, a fun place with kids 9 and under. My guys had fun but were ready to leave in am rather than do more slides.

We had a great trip and Great Wolf is nice but perhaps a bit outdated and could work on customer service in some departments. We used the valet service which was nice but at the cost per day I shouldn't have to search for the valet staff. Once we had one they were very nice. We had one of the bear suites and it was awesome from a space and amenities perspective. Some of the fixtures and carpet were worn out. This is a great place for kids as there are tons of activities to keep them entertained. Also the food pricing is very reasonable. I wish those breakfast tacos were made available every morning. The Oliver's Mining store on the first floor is super fun. I do recommend Great Wolf Lodge, just a few suggestions of things they can address.

This place is HUGE!! Just a heads up, you will definitely get your steps in walking around in this place! There are 8 levels to this hotel/resort. The layout can get confusing, but the employees are super helpful in helping you find your way around. Parking is free if you park way in the back of the hotel close to the conference center, however, you will have to walk ALL the way to the front to check in. After our first night, we were able to figure out were we where and find our way around. Lots of stuff to keep the kids entertained (of course, for a price). The room I had was double queen and it offered a sitting area and a sleeper sofa. The hot water was extremely hot so just be careful. My shower knob was very hard to turn on but I managed. The ceiling in the bathroom looked like it had a previous leak and they just patched it over. When using the blow dryer, I had to basically unplug the outlet far away from the connector for it to turn on. So this will need to be addressed as it as the potential of a possible fire if not taken care of. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and plan on coming back and enjoying everything I might have missed.

This place is nothing short of a disaster. If you like your family members. Please don’t stay here.It took one hour to check in. I ordered the birthday package, didn’t have it. Once the secondary offered packaged was left in the room, the person left our hotel door open, anyone could have walked in till we got back. The hair dryer was useless and would have taken an hour to dry our hair. I had to ask for another one. The shower sprays all over and couldn’t turn it on. We had to almost break it to get it to work. The faucet part was coming out of the wall. The soap dispenser didn’t work and we had to go down and get soap. There is construction everywhere that we weren't warned about prior to booking. We bought one of their wands. However, My son was disappointed because half the wand stations didn’t work. To top it off, they tried to charge us $100 to rent towels at the water park when we brought our own!I will not be back. And until something drastically changes. I would recommend you stay elsewhere. The only positive was, we didn’t die. Over priced. Under maintained. Terrible experience overall.

We are at Grapevine. Check in/out was a nightmare. It was an awful way to start. The luggage carts are SO tiny you can hardly fit anything on them and we had to make multiple trips but there's no real unloading area. The staff are nice about it though. The room was nice. We had the kid cabin and the kids loved the bunk beds. The water park was great. I love the single entry point and how everything is contained so I felt comfortable with the kids being in the sections. The lifeguards are amazing. My kids enjoyed the mining, build a bear, and arcade a lot. They loved the dance party too. The staff were kind and helpful, too. We needed to extend a night due to bad weather and they were helpful and understanding.

We planned a trip for our six year old daughter’s birthday booked the Grizzly suite and birthday package. The trip started rough with all the construction and parking confusion which was understandable with construction. We went to check-in and had the greatest experience with our host Jessica. Jessica welcomed us upon check- in and made our daughter feel very special for her birthday. I can’t thank her enough for her professionalism and kindness. Great Wolf made a great decision hiring her. We are praying for her to have a safe delivery for new baby! The trip has been amazing and we are so grateful to be here! This place is just as my daughter imagined but even better!

Hotel room was so cute with a mini cabin inside for the kids to sleep in. The water park was lots of fun with many different areas to play in. The arcade was open all night. The wand experience is fun and let's you explore all levels of the hotel. It was good family fun. I took a star off for the cost. It was very expensive. We decided to do 2 of the paid activities to save money but it was so expensive the package deal for all activities would probably have been a better deal. The restaurant in the hotel is $25 per person and $10 per kid, but is an all you can eat buffet with Prime rib and other expensive foods making it worth the cost. They also have a pizza place on site that can deliver to your room. If planning on going here start planning way in advance since rooms book up quickly and also look for groupings and discounts to try and alleviate some of the costs.

The most amazing family trip we've had in a very long time. It was everything and my daughter had the most amazing time ever as did my husband and I.Best Christmas destination hands down..The pool, hot tub and the water rides were glorious to say the very least. I loved the fact that we could have breakfast, lunch and dinner on site so we had options to eat anytime which was great. The arcade was so very enjoyable, we spent hours and hours there as a family having lots of fun.The atmosphere was amazing, staff was just amazing. It was our favourite trip and certainly looking forward to our next trip to Great Wolf Lodge and having an amazing time.Definitely recommend this place for the family 10 times over.

Beautiful lodge. This is a fantastic place to bring your family, especially younger children. Multiple water slides at the waterpark, along with a lazy river and wave pool. There are areas for smaller children to play. Very humid in the indoor pool. There is an arcade, candy and gift shop, Starbucks and other amenities I did not get a chance to explore. They have a wand excursion for the kids that is like a scavenger hunt throughout the hotel. The eating area is large and the buffet breakfast was good. Rooms are clean and spacious. There is 8 floors, you will definitely be doing a lot of walking. The hotel is located near shopping and restaurants. This place is pretty busy and crowded.

Room was clean but had uncomfortable beds and furniture. In spite of turning thermostat all the way down, the room never got cool. The layout of the hotel portion makes for a very long walk to anything, including the elevator, if your room number if above the 20's or 30's on each floor. Water Park is not bad if not over crowded but there are much nicer ones in the area . All the staff was friendly and helpful. Kids will enjoy the stay and it's doable for adults. Best to catch it in the off season for sure.

This was the fourth great wolf lodge I’ve been to, all in different states and this was by far the worst one. Being there for the day the “crisis” alarm went off. While this is most likely out of the hands of workers, it’s uncommon for it to happen and only adds to the overall experience. This morning we went to the park at 10 am and walked to the slides to see a group of employees and at least seven cops, all talking and one of the cops escorted a kid out of the building. This location is also a lot more lenient. At other locations, there are employees telling you where to sit in a raft based on weight so that it is safe and you go down the correct way. Here, that is not the case. In the kid area at all three other locations I’ve been to, there is a handful of staff in the area to watch the kids. Here, there was one and left ton more room for mistakes and hurt of other children which we watched happen multiple times. Kids from age one to teenagers were going down slides in the kid area. Always an enjoyable time with family, this location in particular needs more attention. Being there from Saturday at 2pm-Sunday 4pm the ambulance was there once and a fire truck was there twice. Never seen something like that before at a great wolf lodge.

Great experience!! I had to make a ton of changes to our original reservation. I messed the entire thing up. We had so more kids coming. They had to split our rooms into two rooms. They were so helpful and easy to work with. Great experience with making changes to my reservation. Can’t wait to go this weekend.

We had a great time here. It was outside of town but close enough if we needed to shop around. I really liked that the water park passes were included with a room. Good channels on the TV, ac worked great and the Waterpark was very kid friendly with plenty of life guards around.ConsThe breakfast, lunch and dinner was not included and we opted to eat elsewhere for cheaper. It would have been awesome if there was at least a free breakfast included with a stay in the hotel. The elevators were pretty worn out. June 2024They were doing construction around the hotel and I assume that's why everything was crowded. I was surprised we had to wait for about an hour in the ice cream line at 1030pm.

Such a difficult place to review because the adult experience is vastly different than the children’s experience. I’ll say 5 stars from the kids perspective. The resort is most certainly designed for their entertainment and there is enough to do to keep them engaged. From an adult perspective 1/5 stars. It’s absurdly pricey, the staff are far too young for the cost of the resort as I’d expect better service and professionalism at the price point, the food is deplorable, drinks are all non alcoholic no matter what they tell you and there is an upcharge for EVERYTHING. I wish it was all inclusive so I could give all of my money upfront and never have to worry about it again. Otherwise I began to get “charge fatigue” which compromised my experience. I would have gladly paid an extra $1k to just enjoy my kids’ happiness without a constant bill of some sort.Advice to management:Please train your staff to be attentive to guests as opposed to each otherIf the adult restaurant and bar is closed for the weekend, discount the stayConsider an all inclusive packageUpdate your rooms. They are disgustingly filthy. If there is a conference coming up, inform guests so that children are not being separated from their families. (A sweet little boy lost his parents due to the volume of conference attendees that separated them while he was walking with them.)

The check in process was long 45 minutes. When we went to the water park it was extremely cold, I thought the water was going to be warm, but it was not. Also it seem as if they had the air on. Everyone was complaining because its winter time and yall had the water cold. It was so cold in there you couldn't even enjoy the water park. I was told by one of the workers sorry its cold, but we do have a hot tub. When I went to the hot tub it was crowded. People was coughing and not covering their mouth "just nasty". To many people in one small area, so we got out and went to our room. In the room we took a shower and guess what our the water temp wouldn't get hot the shower water was freezing. I had chills while in the shower, that's how cold the water was. I didn't complain to the front desk, because I didn't see the point. After we took our shower we went down to the restaurant. The restaurant was buffet style so we didn't eat there. People was coughing and again not covering their mouth or wearing a mask, and in line getting food and touching things with their dirty hands. I literally seen a man coughing on the walls in the hallway. So, we ended up going across the street to a BBQ restaurant. They next morning we checked out of the hotel room. I checked my email, and they had the nerves to charge me 45 dollars for three pool towels that I made sure I turned back in because they charge 15 dollars per towel if you do NOT return them. I called, and they gave me back my money. So watch out for extra charges on your bank statements.

We had an amazing vacation. Everyone there was kind and accommodating. They never acted like we were wasting their time or bugging them. It was good to see other parents and kiddos there as well. When our littlest one got cranky, there were no staring or looks, everyone was understanding and smiling. I have a 17 month old and a 9 year old and it was great for both of them. When they say it's kid friendly, it is so TRUE! We highly recommend this place. Even the food was good for both kids and adults, they even had diet friendly options. The beds were mega comfy, better than the 4 star hotels we went to this summer. Water park was designed to have every age group in mind, amazing job! Since it's the holiday season, there were lit up trees everywhere, so well decorated! Even had something for the kiddos to do almost every hour..Will defiantly come back!!! Howls!

So I read a lot of these reviews before we went on our vacation here. When we checked in there was a delay to check in but the front desk was very accommodating and we were given meal vouchers. When the room was ready I really didn’t see any of the issues with cleaning some people on here were complaining about. They had a bunch of stuff for kids to do, and really it’s basically a Chucky Cheese if it was a hotel. It was good, not 5 star, but clean and entertaining for the kids which is why you go. My only piece of feedback is that the food is priced WAY too high there for the quality. You can literally drive a mile down the road any way and go to a restaurant with better priced and quality food. Also, the lobby is NOT low vision or handicap friendly. It is super dark, and while I understand part of it is the “lodge aesthetic” they should really consider installing more lighting or floor lamps to help those with night vision and peripheral issues. The staff was great, no complaints at all. They were all super friendly and there was never a time where I felt like they didn’t care or hated being there. Overall it was a good experience that I know my kid will look forward to again. I hope next time the lighting situation is better and prices reflect their food quality.

We have stayed at this location on three separate occasions, and we have always had a nice stay. The staff is friendly, the check-in/check-out process is relatively easy, and they always seem to have our room ready for us right at 1:00 PM when we arrive to use the water park the first day. I can’t really comment on the extra activities, because my kids just want to play at the water park the whole time, then are too zonked to do anything else, ha! I will say that over the course of the last three years (one visit per year), I have seen a deterioration in the cleanliness and upkeep of the water park. There is lots of rust, flimsy stairs in some spots, deteriorating flooring material, and the toddler area seems to need some pool resurfacing (brown stains around every drain). The water park area is starting to look a bit sad. Same with our room this time - our bathtub faucet moved all over the place and dripped all night, the clothesline attached to the bathtub (where you can hang your wet suits to dry) was broken, so we didn’t have much room to hang out wet suits. The kids bunk bed area was in sad shape with missing paint etc. The rooms seem to need a bit of maintenance and updating. Same with the elevators, man are they SLOW! We almost always had to take the stairs because waiting for an elevator was horrendous. Overall we had a nice time. Kids don’t see any of the negative things that I mentioned above, but still, for the money we paid to stay here, I expect our room to be fully functional and well maintained.

First time at Great Wolf Lodge. The food is horrible. Everything seems watered down and bland. Nacho cheese sauce had a watery consistency. Loose Moose restaurant tried to say they were serving prime rib on buffet, but it was definitely pork. It was dry and chewy. The French fries were even bad at the indoor pool snack shack. My daughters refused to eat the chicken nuggets or tenders stating it looked gross. Lockers by pool wouldn’t work. Took two different people to assist opening it. Mediocre rooms. Lobby looks dated and needs to be dusted. You can see the dust piled on the leaves of the trees. I just expected better for the price. Gaylord is much nicer and has better food.

Overall experience at great wolf lodge with the family was great. The kiddos loved it an that’s all that matter. My kiddos rated it a 8 out of 10 an requested that they would love to go back again. I was very hesitant on going after setting up a reservation mainly because I had read a lot of the negative reviews an let me tell you it’s best to experience it for yourself and I’m glad we went. You can’t go into a family resort that I feel is basically for the kids expecting to have some adult fun or adult activities and again my husband & myself went so our kids could have fun time. The experience we had with the room we had overall was pretty clean, which I always do my own little Lysol wiping down an cleaning the whole nine yards. We opted out of trying any of the food at the location and chose to go get outside food because of the fear of paying high prices and getting mediocre food…(sticking to what we know). The staff that was on shift during our stay everyone seemed very friendly/helpful. My husband didn’t feel like the gift shop had a lot of products for men souvenirs. I did feel like the rope course is a little unnecessary I didn’t see hardly any people out I don’t know if it’s due to the fact that it was too hot or what but I do feel like they can benefit more if they did away with the ropes an put like a large jump area for the kids. I can’t really complain about our stay but I can say again that my family enjoyed it. When in doubt just try it out yourself.

We had the best experience with my 3 year old nephew. Loved the option of being able to enjoy the outside water activities as well.Although expensive, the choice of food and drinks was awesome. We absolutely loved the breakfast buffet. The omelets were great! Can't believe how fun the bigger slides were! The tornado had me screaming! The room ac works great, and the beds and pillows were very comfy, which made it a great place to sleep. Can't wait to go back for more fun.Now the cons. The hotel interior could definitely use an upgrade. The duct tape on the uneven floor on floor 8's hallway is a trip hazard, and my nephew fell over it a couple of times. The hot tub that's inside needs a little help, as not very many of the jets work.

We were there to surprise our two boys ( 3 and 6). It was fun, and for slide, the line wasn't that bad. But it was a bit cold inside. Compared to other indoor waterpark, water seems colder. Also, for the adult spa area, you will get attacked by strong chlorine smells. I got sick, and my mom got sick after using that for 10 minutes. We had a bad headache and felt like throwing up.For food and drink, recommend that you bring your kids drink there. There are not many options for kids. For our next trip, i will definitely take some snacks and water bottles for kids and for myself as well.Rooms, we loved it. It wasn't small. And had a refrigerator and microwave. Also, kids bed were perfect :) We ended up asking for a roll a way bed for my little one. We placed that bed in between the sofa bed and a double size bed so he won't fall down.

This experience was great for my son but definitely was not worth the price. Rooms were outdated. Shower did not get hot. Animatronics were not working. Got pizza at the hotel and was burnt. Ice machines did not work on two floors we went to. Check in was easy but we were given the wrong wrist bands and had to go back to get the proper bands. We were not able to order food to our rooms because all restaurants were not delivering to rooms. Arcade was a ridiculous line only to get a card that read insufficient funds at first swipe and had to have staff treat us rudely when we went back. Wand that was purchased for the interactive games did not work next day. Was told we would receive credit for inconveniences we had by hotel staff and did not receive credit. Breakfast was horrible due to under cooked eggs, raw sausage and over cooked bacon. Spent over $700 for a horrible evening. Would have had a better stay at a holiday in for 1/6 of the price. Will NEVER stay again!!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Save your money!!!!

Overall I think it is a good place. There are some minor complaints. The elevators are super slow (and one was broke), and you have to share with staff taking stuff up and down. The rooms are somewhat dated. I really disliked having to pay for parking. The water park itself was well maintained, and they had lifeguards everywhere. It really felt like a safe environment for the kids. It kept them entertained for a day and an evening while it rained outside. Expect the upcharge for everything just like any other amusement park.

We just got back from a last minute family trip to GWL and we had a lot of fun. All the staff here were super nice, housekeeping was efficient and cleaned our room and brought extra towels when requested. I bought the ultimate food and fun package and for the most part it was great. This place is truly a kid friendly place, if you’re looking for a place that doesn’t have kids running around and people in wet bathing suits walking all over the place, then go somewhere else. This isn’t a place for couples if you’re looking for R&R. If anyone that questions their bill, do yourself a favor and go to the front desk before you leave and ask to make sure that nothing is on the bill that shouldn’t be before leaving, I did that and so far, had no problems, everything I asked about is what I paid for. We plan to take another trip soon.

Love this place there is something to do for all ages. I wish the magi quest and parking would be included with the price since it is pretty expensive the stay. $15 parking and magi quest easily $100 per kid. Food is very reasonable. The kids love this place and so did I. They have water slides for all ages, splash pads for toddlers, enough pools for everyone. They have tube shoots, pool wave, regular pool with hoops both in and outdoor. Plenty of room outdoors to hang out and plenty of tables as well. A very nice place to bring the kiddos. I have brought my daughter here two years in a row. This is all she talks about all year. It’s a blast. They have little obstacle courses in side for kids. They have zip line outside. Water slides galore. Food in the pool area a few different variety. The rooms have a microwave and fridge. It’s an amazing time

A must and go-to place if you want to spend some good time with the family. Checkin was smooth. The room was very clean and well maintained. Throughout our trip, we were well received by each and every member of the staff/waiters/attendants at the hotel, as well as the stores.Food was good. They have decent options for both dinner and breakfast buffets. Very very friendly staff here too. Priced just right for both adults and kids. Both Vegetarians and Meat lovers can equally enjoy the buffets. It was almost like what you get in Disney, you can’t complain. But, when it comes to general services, they take good care of things. The “Magi’s quest” was really fun. Kids loved it. Except you have to run between 4 floors, if you don’t really plan well 😀. Quick Tip: Take picture of the hints and listen to your kids 😇We experienced power outage for a couple of hours during a hot day, and incidentally asked to go back to the rooms. There wasn’t power there either. The staff assured us that the hotel will provide some kind of incentive/refund for the inconvenience incurred, but haven’t heard anything yet from them. The other issue we faced was, they were short staffed, and closed the outdoor water rides during one of the days of stay. So, the indoor park pretty much ended up being very crowded. Just a day and it was okay. Sadly, soda at the machines weren’t fizzy throughout the stay! The water rides are pretty awesome. Considering, it is kind of packed with everyone planning to stay indoors during the hot summer days, we still had great fun with the water rides.Overall, we felt the stay was worth every penny, a little inconvenience here and there, but they weren’t show stoppers. Great place to spend good time with family.

A lot of fun to take the family. The indoor/outdoor pool combo is amazing for the kids. The room we stayed in needed some work. The bathtub faucet was loose and hanging from its fixture. The bathroom ventilation seemed clogged. The stairwell was right by our room and people were very loud as well as the door screeching when it was opening and closing. The servers in the restaurant downstairs seemed understaffed. One of our servers, Joy, was amazing. Valet service was awesome, shout-out to Marco. All-in-all it was a great trip. Kind of expensive, but was definitely worth the splurge. Might plan on making this an annual thing. Especially once the renovations are complete. Highly recommend.

My family had a blast!! It was a bit overwhelming during check-in. The facility is nice and has a lot for the kids to do. We ate dinner at the buffet, and it was good. They had a little bit of everything, and it was decent. I'd say 7 out of 10. The chef and buffet staff was very accommodating for my diverse family of eaters. For that, they get a 10 or if 10!❤️ We enjoyed the water park as well.

Where do I even begin?? We came to celebrate our daughters birthday and we absolutely made the right choice by coming to Grapevine location. Joshua, retail manager was extremely helpful and friendly through our stay. He made sure we had all information we needed to navigate the lodge. Entire staff is friendly and serviceable. When at the pools we felt safe because the lifeguards are very vigilant and they don't take their jobs lightly. We love Great Wolf Lodge and are looking forward to visiting again! Thanks Joshua!

The entire resort was extremely understaffed. There were three people at the front desk and the line to check in was incredibly long. There were a couple of self check stations, but no one standing by to help. There was one waiter, one bartender, and one hostess in the lodge restaurant at around 2pm. There are very few dining options available for a size of this resort. There is no room service available, so you have to wait in lines or on very busy wait staff. When you are able to have food, it is delicious. There are four very slow elevators for 8 levels of rooms. At the prime time, there was an extremely long line to get on the elevator that meet up with line checking in.There were frequent issues with the credit card machines, and they had to restart frequently. The water park area was the best part. This is obviously where all of the focus goes. It was very crowded, but the lines moved very quickly. The lifeguards are very well trained and tested often to make sure they can save a person. The room didn't have a working air conditioner. Luckily it was not hot outside so the room was only slightly uncomfortable. The refrigerator did not work either.

Kids loved it. There's not a lot to do for adults, but for a kid focused vacation, it's perfect. Workers were great, we I had some issues with our reservation, but they took the time to help us and got it worked out. Lots to do around the lodge also from the mall 2 miles away, that has an aquarium and many indoor play areas to activate for older kids and adults. Food at Lodge wasn't apatizing to us but plenty of places nearby.

Make sure you get a detailed itemized reservation email or document. They hook you with an email special offer and they change it on you. The hotel is good for younger kids. If you have teenagers or you are an adult couple you’re better off staying somewhere else and getting Six Flags passes. The hotel room although was set to 66 it was warm every night. If you present any discrepancies to management or front desk they just brush it off and they won’t fix it. The dining facilities have great customer service and food is pretty good. Other than that it is an overpriced hotel with nothing more than an indoor park. You probably will get more for your money somewhere else.

Day Pass Review!!! I can’t say anything for the rooms as we just did the day pass and in my opinion the Day Pass is the best bang for buck. They also offer a 10% Military/Veteran/First Responder discount which is always greatly appreciated. Biggest reason I say the day pass is best value is that you could easily do all attractions (waterpark indoor/outdoor, arcade, mining, Ropes course, etc.) in one full day if you arrive at opening. I highly suggest getting there early as parking can be difficult to find. We visited on July 3rd (very busy holiday) and never experienced longer than 10 min wait for a slide. Great Wolf does a phenomenal job at getting everyone to the slide of choice as quick and safe as possible. All of the slides are fun and some have quite a bit of thrill to them so be prepared for some big drops and fast paced slides. The wave pool is very docile compared to some that I have been too and kids of all ages can enjoy it safely. The outdoor area was very nice but seemed small and in the Texas heat we decided to limit our time outside and enjoy indoor without worry of getting sun burned. There is plenty of seating areas to get your resting spot ready for when you need some relaxation. Free towel rentals and lockers are on site if you have valuables you don’t feel comfortable leaving in your car or at your chairs. Lots of food options typical to a theme or water park but satisfied our hunger. We spend roughly 9 hours enjoying the attractions and would gladly return in future for another day pass.

If my kids were rating Great Wolf Lodge they would definitely give it a 5. I had some mixed feelings, but overall would go back because they loved it so much. It's obviously geared for kids. In addition to the impressive water park, there's a build -a- bear, candy shop, ice cream parlor, arcade, and lots of kid-friendly activities. We stayed in a room with bunk beds and my 6 and 8 year old thought that was super neat. The room itself was okay. Nothing fancy. We were there a Thursday through Sunday and it was busy. The elevators took forever and there was always a long line at their Starbucks. We ate at their buffet for breakfast, which offered a good variety of options. We also had pizza from another restaurant option there and it was also good. I waited to book until there was a special discount offer because rooms can be pricey. Next time I'd like to try going during the week to see if it's less busy (and less expensive). The highlight was definitely the water park. It's amazing!

We had a suite with balcony which turned out to be a sliding glass door to ground floor patio. Did not feel safe as it was just open to road and construction area. Lock was only a twist lock on glass door. Step stool at sinks would be nice for children. Hotel needs BETTER SIGNAGE. Perhaps lighted signs from ceiling. Especially designating guest rooms. Very confusing.Waterpark was great fun and food was expensive but good. Overall, great time with 5 kiddos.

It’s one stop fun shop for all ages. Yes the waterpark inside was rundown and needed upgrades but oh well their communication and the whole resort experience is just simply amazing. We live about 30miles away and for us it was a mini getaway. The passes for kids are really worth the hype. They do get a lot with the passes

My family had a blast here. The room was very nice and clean. My nieces loved the bunk beds. The Waterpark was fun for the kids and adults. There were plenty of chairs for people to sit when they weren't in the water. I recommend bringing your family here.

Absolutely enjoyed The staff. Every staff member at the Lodge is very friendly and helpful. The water park was amazing.!! Although we had a incident where me and my 9 year sons raft turned over and our lifeguard was nowhere to be found. Also I'd recommend ATM machine because at 4am I was thirsty and I want to every floor and all the vending machines took cash only. Food was decent, I definitely enjoyed breakfast more then dinner. Pastas was good, burger was good but my ribs for the price I paid was definitely not worth it at all. Overall I recommend giving this lodge a chance. Definitely a lot to do and fun to be had.!

READ THIS BEFORE BOOKING!!This trip was our second stay at the Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, and it was a complete disappointment. We will not be coming back. The hotel is undergoing major construction, which is not disclosed in detail before booking. We called ahead specifically to confirm that the outdoor area (water park, slides, and Rope Climbing Course) would be open during our stay. The outdoor area was the main reason we chose to return, as we had already experienced the indoor portion during our last visit. The staff assured us it would be open, but that turned out to be a blatant lie.We stayed from Monday to Thursday, and the outdoor area was closed every single day. Each day, the staff gave us the runaround, promising it would open later or the next day. Eventually, they shifted to the excuse of low staffing, which they must have known about when we called weeks before. We would have booked elsewhere if they had been honest from the start. The entire hotel desperately needs updates, and the construction is ongoing everywhere. It's great to see that updates are being made, but these disruptions should have been clearly mentioned on the website and reflected in the pricing. They weren't. The noise was unbearable—we couldn't even have a normal conversation during breakfast due to the constant drilling. It felt like we were eating on a construction site. There is also no impressive lobby or panoramic view of the waterpark - that area is completely covered and under major reconstruction (see pictures). The check in is now in the back of the resort in a depressing-looking conference room.We were really looking forward to this trip, but it turned into a frustrating and unpleasant experience. Save yourself the hassle and look for other options. This location needs to reconsider how they treat their guests seriously. We mentioned our disappointment at the front desk, and the staff offered us a 25% discount on the room prices, which was a nice gesture. However, after thinking about all of the disappointments (there were some room issues that I don't even care to type up) and the fact that literally 50% of the attractions were inaccessible (see the picture of the map - the highlighted section was closed the entire time), a higher discount should have been offered. We will definitely not return.

Good for a 3 day weekend. Kids of all ages have stuff to do. The food is expensive and sub par, and not many options for a whole resort-like place. We found ourselves leaving to find better food for even less nearby. It's very dated, but they're doing construction so hopefully that'll change.Their arcade is great though! Small, but gives real tickets which is super fun for the young ones. They liked it as much as the water. Very kind staff there.

Our experience after spending hundreds of dollars for one night.- You pay for parking though you've already paid hundreds to stay.- Front Desk girl who checked us in was extremely confused, kept needing help and took forever. She couldn't even tell if we prepaid or not, which we did.- Our bed was broke!- The room and hall had a moldy smell- The room AC did not work properly.- The pool area is so hot and humid that we instantly broke into a sweat when we went down for a few minutes just to get burgers.- nowhere to sit to eat outside your room unless it's in the hot and humid pool area.- We ordered pizza at night and it took two hours of phone tag and my husband walking from the room to the pizza place several times to locate our pizza. It was "being delivered" for about an hour of that time.- For pizza and burgers, there is no seating you stand to order and wait forever, 2 hours for us as mentioned above.- The food wasn't great and it was overpriced.- Arcade is extremely overpriced my son played 3 games for $15 and so we bought them more only to realize the ticket redemption area was closed. No prizes for the kids.- construction zone! Painting and construction going on.- no shampoo and conditioner in our roomThey threatened to charge over pool towels. So you have to leave them and go to your room without them or drop off later or in the morning. They were closed so we were almost charged for towels because nobody was there to accept them. We got lucky and found someone in the hall while we were trying to leave. We honestly were disappointed and wouldn't recommend it. There are many other places for family fun that are a fraction of the cost that you can swim and sleep at.

The Waterpark is a good size. It was busy when we went but average time in line for slides is about 10 minutes so not bad.We only got to experience the indoor part (early May) so I can't say whether I would stay multiple nights. There's 5 big slides and a couple smaller slides. The wave pool isn't very wavy but the big bucket of water that drops every 5 minutes was awesome! Room is clean and spacious. Toilet paper was abysmally thin.Overall, I think it's a great place for kids with lots to do.

Definitely a great getaway place to enjoy with your family and children. So much fun and amazing attractions for the kids. Was our first time here and would definitely return again. Rooms were great and staff were friendly. Only problem is the elevator situation too many people get on at once and the elevator stays open if people are inpatient to let the door close so be prepared for that. Overall great stay!

The water park is awesome. The room was great with plenty of space and very well kept. The staff were all helpful. From there, it goes downhill quickly. The food options are trash. I've had a better breakfast buffet at a Embassy Suites and that didn't cost $80 for a family of 4. Lunch isn't much better; they have only 2 options and both are very slow. We waited over an hour for a burger, chicken sandwich, and salad with 2 young kids. That's unacceptable. The elevator situation is atrocious. There aren't enough and they're always cramped with people going up from the pool while also trying to handle people checking in. Add on top of this the new magi game that takes place at the elevator landing and it's a recipe for disaster. Oh, and that game...they don't tell you it's limited time and not open your whole stay. Their passes aren't really worth the extra cost because the included things you get for free or generally the very basic option and you can't do anything with it. Just pay for whatever your kids want to do and skip the passes.

Really great stay. Very comfortable and very clean rooms.Extremely helpful and wonderful staff!!If we needed anything, we'd call, and within moments, someone was there to help.A lot of activities for kids.Several food options. Card only, no cash! It's in a really great area with a ton of restaurants and activities close by.The only negative I can speak of is that there is no gym. I was told that there used to be one but has been closed since COVID.If I would make a suggestion, it would be to open the gum back up.

We came to this resort for the eclipse. They had a nice little eclipse watch party (our favorite).Rooms were nice and clean. Water park water was warm but it was packed. Kids enjoyed the park anyways.Be mindful arcade and magicquest games are extra $$ and it can add up quickly.Restaurant were the biggest disappointment. Slow service, and not many food choices.

My kids had a blast , room were clean . It was busier than expected but water park is so big we didn't have any issues with pools being so crowded. My only complaint - the day we arrived we played all day when it was time for dinner time we had 3options buffet , pizza , buckets . We decided let's try the buffet well they closed at 9pm i just wish the buffet was open later since a lot of people like to stay in till the park closes at 8pm. Overall great park experience!

The family and I went here for the end of summer vacation. We did not have to leave campus for anything during our stay. There are so many activities for the kids and on-site shops, a chow hall that serves a variety of foods for everyone, a series of pools and water slides, games, and many other activities. The rooms were clean, the atmosphere was all about having a good time, and I met several awesome employees and guests. My kids want to come back.
