'But fear not, dear patrons, for we have the evidence to back up our claims. Our trusty CCTV cameras captured the culprits in the act, and we've got a copy of the bill to prove it.

'We're not going to name names (yet), but let's just say these dine-and-dashers won't be getting away with their cheeky antics.

'We're on the lookout for these penny-pinching pilferers, and we'll be sure to keep you updated on our efforts to bring them to justice.'

The pub, which is run by Marston's, posted a reprinted image of their receipt which showed the group ordered three large glasses pepsi to wash down a steak sandwich, chicken tenders and braised lamb shank, with extra peppercorn sauce, extra cheesy garlic bread and two portions of extra chips.

This comes afterBernard McDonagh, 41, and his wife Ann McDonagh, 39, confessed to racking up £1,168 worth of unpaid restaurant bills and were sentenced to eight months and 12 months respectively for their crimes last month.

Staff at the Bella Ciao Italian restaurant in Swansea say they were the latest victims of this heist when the couple sat with a group of eight in their restaurant and left without paying the £329 bill.

CCTV footage from the restaurant showed Mrs McDonagh attempting to pay the bill with a savings account card, which was declined twice.

She told staff her son would wait inside while she went to get her 'other card', but she did not return and moments later the boy had also vanished from the premises.

Anne Louise Inman who is the manager of the Station Restaurant & Bar in Blaxton, which employs 30 staff, released CCTV images of the suspects who left a £150 bill

Incidents of dining and dashing seem to be on the rise after another business had to appeal on social media for help tracking down men who had left a £150 bill.

Elle Bolland, 32, who has spent more than £1million refurbishing an old hotel and establishing her eatery employing 30 staff, released CCTV images of the suspects.

The three men arrived in a pick-up truck and parked in the car park of the Station Restaurant & Bar in Blaxton, Doncaster.

Mrs Bolland, who is eight months pregnant with her second child, said she had been angered by the brazen bunch who allegedly racked up a £150 bill and polished off their meal by downing co*cktails.

'If people like this get away with it, then businesses are going to potentially face closure.

'You have still got to be paying the bills and staff. People walking out without paying, especially when they have ordered steak, can send you under.'
