Your answer to a cookie craving! Crave Tupelo Deluxe Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie has perfectly crispy edges with a gooey, chewy center.
I visited Crave for the first time recently. We stopped by for a bite of somethingsweet after dinner but didn’t have time to wait for their signature dessert, the Skillet Cookie. It takes 30 minutes to cook.
I craved it for three days and finally gave in and made my own version.
Crave is a local dessert shop. They specialize in decadent classic Southern-style desserts. They also have a variety of hot and cold coffees and blended drinks. Recently, they have added breakfast items to the menu, which they offer all day!! (My kind of place!) I recommend you stop in!

If you’re not local and still want to enjoy a great dessert, I made a copycat version of their Skillet Cookie.
This deep dish deluxe chocolate chip cookie requires no rolling and no chilling! Individual servings in a cast-iron skillet make this dessert fun. It’s decadent without all the fuss.
Serve Crave Tupelo Deluxe Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookiewarm from the oven with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream. It’s as close to the perfect dessert as you can get!

Crave Tupelo Deluxe Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie
- First, I used a variation of chocolate chips and chocolate chunks. You can use one, both, or even chopped candy bars. I used a total of 2 and 1/2 cups chips, so you’ll just need to keep that total quantity the same.
- You may also want to add 1 cup of nuts. Try pecans, macadamia, or walnuts. If you add nuts reduce the chocolate chips to a total of 1 and 1/2 cups.
- As well, this recipe makes 2 dozen regular size cookies.
- Finally, I recommend using real butter.
