Would love to collaborate with our whanaunga from across the ditch! Let’s see how much we can grow our whanau capacity and capability between annual conferences?! 🌱💓

[ IMPACT LEADERSHIP ] We often state that the #TropicsBusinessSummit is an action oriented platform because we don't make room for smooth talkers here!Indeed, the 6th annual #TropicsSummit held in Praia, Cape Verde was the historic venue for the very first physical meeting of the #AfricanDOers. For the very first time in history, a group of DOers met face-to-face to lay the groundwork for a roadmap that will contribute to the major project of implementing the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA / ZLECAf) whose ultimate goal is to unify Africa and make our continent the largest world-class market.Since our Anglophone friends say that a picture is worth a thousand words, we let you relive the first meeting of the African DOers with HE Mrs. Débora Katisa Carvalho - Primeira Dama CV (First Lady of Cape Verde) 🇨🇻 who did us the honor of receiving a group of about thirty DOers who not only learned to discover her enormous investment and contributions to the environment and social impact sectors but also, it was an opportunity for this group of laureates to present their activities and especially demonstrate how impactful their work is for their respective economies.I am delighted to announce that this moment gave birth to the new consortium in formation which will be known as “The African DOers,”which you will learn more about in the coming days. Beyond publishing an annual powerlist listing the top 700 most influential African personalities shaping the future of Africa, #TropicsMagazine is pushing the cursor even further to make African DOers accountable of their own continent’s development. We are now going to introduce a hybrid event and be known to the world as a Think-and-Do Tank which will power a multidisciplinary Tech & Innovation Hub.We therefore invite you to join us and play a significant role at our forthcoming 7th annual Tropics Business Summit so we can all witness this page of history that all our DOers started writing in solos anyway!Credits:Kidjo Photography for Tropics Media Group, All Rights Reserved.#LessTalksMoreActions#TheAfricanDOers#LesAfricanDOers#TropicsGroup

"FAILLE, Frictional Borders, Ancestral Practices, Precolonial Europe," is one of the five finalists chosen to curate and host #TheEuropeanPavilion 2024. Proposed by Cittadellarte - Fondazione Pistoletto ONLUS and OGR Torino , this project explores the Insubric line in the #Alpine region, corresponding to the #Balkan migratory route. Today, the area faces conflicts due to #migrant passages, and the project aims to redefine it as a union of regionalisms, challenging the contemporary vision of #Europe as a coalition of fortified nations. Click the link to watch a short video about this project: bit.ly/47oasYxIn January, we'll reveal which curatorial concept will be selected to develop and host The European Pavilion 2024.

A powerful conversation today #RecognizingRuralCanada. As the daughter of a farmer and from a very, very small town, so much of the conversation resonated. Chief among the many topics… connectivity! Much discussion about the need for reliable and affordable access to the Internet. Panelists also tackled the need for more understanding of how those in small towns - from farmers to foresters - contribute to our economy. Check out the replay below. And make sure you are following for the latest on how business and politics intersect!
