What is the best section at the Hollywood Bowl? ›

The Super Seats are considered by many to be the best seats at the Hollywood Bowl. Centrally located, there are just three sections of Super Seats, J1, H, and G1. Unlike the boxes or remaining sections, Super Seats are stadium-style and also include cup holders.

It's important to note that the Hollywood Bowl seat numbers are not consecutive. Rather, they're broken up between even-numbered seats and odd-numbered seats. So don't panic when you receive your seats and they aren't consecutive seat numbers, because they are together.

The majority of the seats in the bowl, in sections E through X2, are Bench Seats that start right next to the Terrace boxes and go all the way to the back of the theater. Cushions can be brought in for these bench style seats, or you can rent a super-padded cushion from the ushers for only $1.

Other than the few seats that have an obstructed view, section E at the Hollywood Bowl is a very nice lower cost alternative to box seats. They are as close as the Terrace Boxes… just more stage left. They are bench seats but still very close to the main stage.

Hollywood Bowl Terrace Box

Terrace Boxes at Hollywood Bowl are located in the third tier of seating, directly behind the Garden Boxes. These boxes offer a roomier, more comfortable seating experience than the wood, stadium-style Prominage Seats in the back of Hollywood Bowl.

You're welcome to bring your own food to the Bowl. All containers, picnic baskets, and coolers must be able to fit under your seats or within your box. Containers, picnic baskets, and coolers measuring more than 15 inches wide, 15 inches high, or 22 inches long are not permitted past the ticket gates.

As our bowling centres can get very busy at peak times, and we don't like turning people away, we always advise people to book online in advance. Book online or through our contact centre in advance for the best prices.

Luckily, there is no specific dress code at the bowling alley, and the great thing is you can wear your own shoes however, we still advise you to wear appropriate footwear for the occasion.. So, you can keep it as casual as you want without having to worry about what you look like.

Are the seats at the Hollywood Bowl every other number? ›

Likewise, the concrete seats in the back are better suited for standing, for example. Seats in the boxes closer to the stage are much more comfortable. But no matter where you're sitting, the sound at the Bowl is always crystal clear, and top notch.

Features & Amenities. Hollywood Bowl Garden Seats have excellent views of the performance and are only separated from the stage by the Pool Circle.

Terrace seats are very similar to the Garden Boxes located one level in front. The only difference is the Terrace sections are slightly further from the stage. Each box is separated by a wood partition and includes cloth folding chairs. There is enough room to set up a table to enjoy food and beverage from the seats!

Fifty years later, we still call the semi-circle seating area immediately in front of the stage “The Pool Circle.” On most nights now, it's filled not with 100,000 gallons of water, but with the Bowl's most generous donors and well-heeled patrons, enjoying dinner service.

The Hollywood Bowl is easily the BEST experience in Los Angeles. Of course, which show you see depends on your interest....but there's everything on the performance calendar, so find a show that's of interest and GO!! It's pure magic, and the venue experience alone uplifts the heart and every performance.

That being said a garden or terrace box affords you your own private space to enjoy dinner, drinks and the performance. Box seats are canvas collapsible chairs in groups of 4 or 6 (even a few 3 and 5) surrounded by wooden partitions. Most people choose to set up two tables, one on each end.
